Early 21st century. Closed for several years, the Vincennes Zoo awaits a rehabilitation which is slow in coming. The lack of money for maintenance, the vegetation proliferates, invades the alleys, climbs on the walls of the rocks, overflows the surrounding walls, the roots make the ground crack. Worn out by age and bad weather, the thin concrete envelope of the artificial rocks is deteriorating. A patina covers it, giving it a paradoxically natural appearance – except at the points where the concrete crumbles and exposes the metal reinforcements that are supposed to hold it in place.		Début du XXIe siècle. Fermé depuis plusieurs années, le zoo de Vincennes attend une réhabilitation qui tarde à venir. L'argent manquant pour l'entretien, la végétation prolifère, envahit les allées, grimpe sur les parois des rochers, déborde des murs d'enceinte, les racines font craquer le sol. Usée par l'âge et les intempéries, la fine enveloppe de béton des rochers artificiels se dégrade. Une patine la recouvre, lui conférant un aspect paradoxalement naturel – excepté aux points où le béton s'effrite et met à nu les armatures métalliques censées le maintenir.

The Park of Transhumanist Sex makes place for the post human utopias : extended sexual possibilities, new organs, transplants, fantasies impossible to realize with traditional bodies. The adepts come to take pleasure with their ideal bodies. The Transhumanist Sex Park offers to each of its visitors the possibility of extraordinary and easy sexual experiences.		Le parc d'attraction du sexe transhumaniste donne corps aux utopies post-humaines : possibilités sexuelles étendues, nouveaux organes, transplantations, fantasmes impossibles à réaliser avec des corps traditionnels. Les adeptes viennent y prendre du plaisir avec leurs corps idéaux. Transhumanist Sex Park offre à chacun de ses visiteurs la possibilité d'expériences sexuelles extraordinaires et faciles.

Abraxas is the name of a gnostic god created by Basilides, an heretic religious teacher of the second century. The Basilidians did not believe in a magnanimous god, but rather in a demiurge, dual divinity. According to Carl Jung, Abraxas is "life and death in the same time. It engenders truth and lie, good and bad, light and darkness in the same word and in the same action".		Abraxas est le nom d’un dieu gnostique créé par Basilide, un hérétique du IIe siècle. Les Basilidiens ne croyaient pas en un dieu de bonté, mais en une divinité démiurge, duelle. Selon Carl Jung, Abraxas est « la vie et la mort dans le même temps. Il engendre la vérité et le mensonge, le bien et le mal, la lumière et l’obscurité dans le même mot et dans la même action. »

Let the suburbs die. There is nothing left to do with the territories consumed by residential sprawl.		Laisser mourir les suburbs abandonnées : il n'y a plus rien à faire de tout l'espace gâché par les zones pavillonnaires abandonnées.

Postcards from the Paris Suburbs do not show hidden sights, secret beauties or anecdotal elements, but attempt to catch on the fly what makes up the periphery, the principles on which it is based: public transport, traffic jams, cafés, surveillance systems, shopping centers, residential housing, offices, daily life. They sketch out a form of contemporary picturesqueness, the opposite of the images of a spectacular city.		Les Cartes postales pour les banlieues de Paris ne montrent pas les curiosités cachées, beautés secrètes ou éléments anecdotiques mais tentent d’attraper au vol ce qui fait la périphérie, les principes sur lesquels elle repose : les transports en commun, les embouteillages, les cafés, les systèmes de surveillance, les centres commerciaux, l'habitat résidentiel, les bureaux, la vie quotidienne. Elles esquissent une forme de pittoresque contemporain, à rebours des images d'une ville spectaculaire.
